I've tried picking strawberries in Taiwan and I would say that it was really fun. Not only that you get to pick the freshest ones, you also get it at a cheaper price. It was years ago when I did and what better way to spend a beautify sunny day than to do outdoor activities and experience something fun? So we went to Krause Berry Farm located at 6179 248 St, Langley, BC V4W 1C3 to do some berry-picking.
The place was so beautiful. I almost want to live there and grow my own food, that is if I really got the skills to do it. It was fairly busy during that day. They have a cafeteria and a shop where you can get the berries. They also have some merchandise for sale such as honey, aprons, and other kitchen stuff.
Once I headed outside, I saw people were lining up for their blueberry waffles. Of course I didn't allow myself to miss the opportunity to try it. It was really good! I like how it was freshly prepared and the sides were crispy too. It was salty, sweet, buttery, and with whipped cream. It probably negated all the health benefits of the blueberries but it was a special day so I allowed myself to commit a little crime. The syrup was a bit too sweet for me though.

They have playground beside the market. You can also take photos with the face in hole boards there if you want to look like berries.
They also have a garden and they grow these beautiful flowers. There's a lone apple tree too that were already starting to bear fruit. I thought an apple tree would be very big but it was just a little taller than me. There's a bee somewhere in the photo which is hard to find. I'll give you a chocolate bar if you find it! Now off to the blueberry patch!
On the way to the blueberry patch, I saw different trivia that you can read. Great way to entertain yourself and learn while walking.

I was wondering why the blueberries were so pale unlike what I normally see in grocery stores but they were already ripe and they already looked like from groceries when we got home.
The blackberry patch is on the other side of the farm and you could see the winery and market on the way there.
It's me picking some blackberries!
This looks a little gross and mutated fruit. I don't know if they actually ripen one node at a time but it looks like a monster coming out of the blackberry to me.
Now it's time to wrap up. You would see that a pound of blueberries just cost $1.75 which is really really cheap. Of course you do the labor yourself but it's a fun experience. We ended up with around 12 to 13 pounds of blueberries and blackberries to take home.
